This site serves as a repository of my work, rather than leaving it to sit on a hard drive never to be seen. With that in mind this site is only a snapshot of my work, as I cannot post what I have not documented. In this way the site is an un-curated space and should not be viewed as a statement of intent, process or an attempt to convey a specific image of my self or my practice.
Millenium Falcon Shadow Box
The Millennium Falcon was a childhood toy which had become warped and damaged over the years. I did not want to throw out the model, but the top section was the only part I was able to salvage. I repaired, repainted, and framed the model to create a shadow box to protect what I could.
Lightsaber
Anakin Skywalker’s lightsaber from Revenge of the Sith was the first 3D printing project I under took. Using a base model made by CaseStudyno8 and found on thingiverse, I remodelled specific parts using reference I’d researched online; from auction and replica prop sites. I added dowel inserts for easy painting, using a black under coat…
Blade Runner Gun
Rick Deckard’s Gun is a work in progress, this is the first pass at the replica. As with the lightsaber I am using reference material to create an accurate reproduction and using base files created by Andrew Forster.
Model Trees
These model trees where made using thin armature wire twisted and shaped by hand with their bases cast in a clear resin. Each tree is modelled to represent a real world counterpart such as willow, oak, burch etc.
Dragon
The dragon head was a project to see what I could do with paper mache. The support frame is a simple wire skeleton with paper mache applied on the top of this. The final layer was a thin coating of plaster, sanded whilst still damp to remove chunks. The model was then painted with model…
Figures
Figures is a project creating characters from sides of a personality, each figure represents a different facet brought to life. The construction begins with a wire armature, over which a card body is shaped. The characters are finished with paper mache and a simple colour palette, weathered to appear old and dirty.
Custom Lightsaber
Modelled from scratch in Blender. I wanted to test some modelling, construction and paint techniques for a future project. I thought this would be a nice object to test them with.
